After reading about the problems in Rio with the Zika virus, crime problems, water turning green, and a host of other problems, I begin to wonder why we don't put the Olympics in Athens permanently?
Not only could Greece use the money, it would put an end to a lot of waste and corruption. There are bribes flying everywhere on the bidding process and cities and nations bankrupt themselves trying to land the games.
Huge stadium are built for the Olmypics and when the games are over, then what?
We allready have a world event that travels the world--the World Cup.
Bring the Games home to where they belong--Greece!
